Restaurant Zum Kachelofen in Hahnenklee-Bockswiese

We were here for lunch and felt very comfortable. The schnitzels were delicious and the amount was just right. If we go to Hahnenklee again, we'll come back here to eat!

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff ... the food was delicious and hygiene guidelines were adhered to. Stay healthy so that the magic is soon over.

The food was okay, we were there for schnitzel day. The service was friendly. For us personally it was too crowded, too narrow and too little distance from the other guests.

A story for television. Instead of Spain or elsewhere abroad, the young man from Holland opted for the Harz Mountains. A wonderful restaurant-cafe was created. Beautiful ambience, delicious food and very nice staff. We will be back.

The visit to the restaurant was unfortunately disappointing. We spontaneously decided to visit the restaurant. And the “Schnitzel Day” campaign spoke to us directly. So we ordered two schnitzel, which were on the promotional menu for 12.50 euros. And unfortunately the schnitzel didn't taste good at all. Unfortunately, one couldn't speak of meat. It was molded meat made from a mixture of fat and compound meat, which did not look appealing at all. There can be absolutely no question of good quality meat. The side dishes were good. And when we wanted to pay by card after the receipt was in front of us, they said that we should have let them know beforehand that we wanted to pay by card. Why do you have to say that beforehand when a sign says that you can pay by card for over 25 euros ?! We are still shocked at the really poor quality of the schnitzel. The very nice service with a Dutch accent and the decor of the restaurant were positive.

Unbelievable bad service. I had a fish completely soaked in oil. Nothing to do with fresh food. After a friendly request for another dish the older lady was freaking out.

You can sit comfortably on the small terrace on the quiet street. The menu has something to offer for every taste. Schnitzel with delicious fried potatoes were great. Hospitality very nice and funny. Had a nice evening there

In my opinion the best restaurant in town! I ordered my meal in advance (take away) and it was ready at the time I requested. Unfortunately, this is no longer a matter of course. The food tasted really good. I would definitely eat here again on another vacation!

Everything was made possible by the staff with the spontaneous reservation that our dog could also go to the restaurant. During the visit, the staff was very friendly and the food came quickly, even though it was full. The food was delicious and sufficient - there was nothing to complain about - keep it up!

After a long and exhausting hike on the Brocken, we are tortured into the "tiled stove". The service was super friendly and pleasant. The menu is plentiful and the food tastes exquisite. Price performance is justified on everyone and you will be more than enough. On request, we even made a special drink, which was not on the map. We are very fascinated and can only recommend it.

Hearty, local food. Small menu but all meals cooked to perfection. Highly reccomend. Good size portions.

Very nice service .... very personable and accommodating. The food was delicious and plentiful. The value for money is right and would recommend it in any case.

It showed promise, but it ended in disappointment. We were a large group of 9 ( including kids), the waitress was very rude when taking our drink order, and actually told my friend to settle down, because he was trying to correct the drink order. They didn't have Still Wasser so she brought two pitchers of tap water then charged us 5 Euros for each pitcher. The food was not brought out together, and it was not good. The owner gave us one check and said she could not split it. We are very disappointed with their backward old word attitude and with the food. We cannot recommend.
